Analysis of Career Interrupted Female Baby Boomer`s Return to the Workforces

Abstract

This study purpose was conduct a dynamic analysis of career interrupted female baby boomer`s return to the workforce through sequence analysis. And this study tracks 14 years after the career interruption. This study based investigation on the data complied by the KLIPS, where the workforce performance is the focal point of it`s research. The findings of study were follows. First, according to the study, years of education is a vital factor in female baby boomer`s return to the workforce. Second, sequence analysis produced 5 groups - continuous regular employment, continuous career interrupted after precarious employment, business owner and unpaid family worker, precarious employment after unemployment, and continuous unemployment. Last, result of multinominal logistic regression results that pre-career interrupted job family was a permanent employment larger than continuous career interrupted after precarious employment, business owner and unpaid family worker relatively continuous unemployment. Therefore, this study suggests enlargement of employment policy for prevent female baby boomer`s poverty and social exclusion.
